Long transients (in Ecology as in other disciplines) are often motivated by a critical
slowing down of the dynamics. It is also well known that such transient delay phenomena appear in many cases
after a bifurcation. However the case around a local bifurcation (in deterministic systems) has been widely studied,
not so many examples are known regarding its relation with its stochastic counterpart local bifurcation or in the case
near a global bifurcation. The aim of this talk is to present two examples, based on very simple ecological models, trying
to cover these two situations.
